Work Package 1 (WP1): Project Management and Administration

  • To efficiently manage the project consortium by carrying out adequate planning, implementation and monitoring of the project tasks and activities as well as the timely delivery of reports.
  • To technically coordinate the project activities;
  • To monitor the results and implement corrective measures, if needed.

Description of work and role of partners

To coordinate the work of the Consortium, there will be a "Steering Committee" composed of one representative of each Partner and coordinated by the Project Leader. This committee will be responsible for making high level decisions and solving differences that may arise among the work packages, such as different points of view in the implementation calendar of standards or other topics. The Steering Committee will meet every two months in order to make a follow up of activities, approve changes and supervise the overall execution of the project.

The project will start with a Kick-off Meeting that will include the management authorities of the project as well as the WP leaders and participants (one participant per institution in the WP). This will allow for more detailed planning by each WP and the detailed planning of activities in order to ensure that the schedule is completely assumed by each team member.

Each Work Package will be coordinated by the WP Leader who will also be responsible for the appropriate execution of the activities, quality control and the timely delivery of reports. Any change in planning that may imply delays to other packages will have to be approved by the Steering Committee. The WP teams will hold bi-weekly meetings and use RedCLARA's Portal to coordinate their activities and maintain documentation of the project.

The Project Leader's Office will be in charge of administrative procedures, the control of expenses and the appropriate documentation to be submitted to the European Commission.
