Partner Networks
Through Memorándums of Understanding (MoU) the ELCIRA Project and the National Research and Education Networks connected to RedCLARA agreed to cooperate in promoting the establishment and adoption of Identity Federations and additional services based on them (eduroam, eduGAIN,
cloud services).
The main actions foreseen include:
• Reciprocal invitations to meetings.
• Co-locating meetings where mutually convenient in order to maximise the participation of partners, the sharing of information and the exchange of experiences and best practices;
• Organization of joint workshops and conferences about e-lnfrastructures, the introduction of Identity Federations and their adoption;
• The participation of the national netwoks to each of the ELCIRA pilot initiatives. Above all, the establishment of new Identity Federations in Latin America, the adoption of eduroam and eduGAIN and the inclusión in technical activities of ELCIRA WP2, WP4, WPS;
• Exploitation of each other's dissemination channels. These include: websites,
bulletins, project events and schools, booklets etc. Cross references will link the
Web sites of both organizations in order to start this activity;
• Promote the participation of trainees from the participants communities in tutorials
(or the provisioning of tutoring material) organised by ELCIRA, and vice-versa;
• Promotion of the use of the ELCIRA services for boosting adoption of identity
federations.
